FULL VIEW MAY BE BEST!
Now that our Winter Fun Packages are beginning to be received at their destinations... I can start to show you some of the sewing projects that kept me very busy through much of January and February
These fancy bags are made from upholstery material and silk brocade
The exterior of all 3 bags was produced from a single remnant of $32 a yard gray and gold metallic upholstery material ...that was just right at a yard in length (no, I didn't pay full price as remnants are always 1/2 the price!).... anyways, in order to be able to make all 3 bags, with the material I had... I modified the pattern significantly, in order to include the exterior piping, using the silk brocade material, that was also used as the lining material
My sweet hubby Bob =TThealer helped me redesign the straps for the bags, as well as engineering the attaching hardware selection, and applying the hidden magnetic closures!! YAY Bob!! he has many talents besides just
One of the bags was made as a very jazzy, take-anywhere yarn bag, to properly thank our wonderful friend Kimmie *MooMyFire for the beautiful afghan that she made us, that shows up in this image that my sweet hubby Bob =TThealer captured back in December
One of the bags I actually made for myself!!
...and the 3rd bag is being held as a gift that I will present in person to a very special friend of mine, later this summer
The cute ducks are our new stage hands that help liven up photography shoots and remind us to hang on for Spring is actually coming
You can see another view of the jazzy bags in this image
Hope you like them!
