Hoosier State on the Ohio...

The name of the tug boat is the "Hoosier State" (which for my international friends, refers to the State of Indiana).... it is pushing the barges down the Ohio River, on the Kentucky side of the river now are you confused??

Actually the Ohio River is a major river in America, and it forms the entire southern border of the state of Indiana (between Indiana and Kentucky ) so the tugboat captain may just be going home!

The AEP company name on the side of the tug boat stands for American Electric Power [link] a company that provides electricity to customers in Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. So the coal on the barges will most likely be used for electric power generating

Anyway, I thought you might enjoy seeing this image that I was lucky enough to capture from the side window of the motorhome, while we were crossing the Ohio River from Kentucky, into Illinois, on Interstate 24 on Sunday.
