On Sunday, May 12th, 2013, we celebrate Mother's Day here in America... and since there's a reason that MOM... when turned upside down spells WOW ... don't forget to let your mom know ya' her!!
When we woke up last Saturday morning (March 23rd, 2013) ... Bob looked at the radar first ...and of course, we knew we were going to have to hustle, in order to get our "running" done, before the started here... so off we went!
While I larked and looked in Michael's [link] ...and decided what to spend my 40% off coupon on my sweet hubby Bob did our shopping at the nearby Wal-Mart Supercenter... and when he picked me up at Michael's... there were a dozen of these roses sitting in the top of my Meow bag in the truck!
<=== Yep! I made that!!
Thanks babe! I you, too!
BTW, we pulled back into our driveway at 4 p.m. amid just a few tiny ...and within minutes of us getting our purchases into the house ...it started like If you want to see HOW much check out this deviation
Do you know how hard it is to photograph a bag that is mostly black??
Anyways, this is one of my masterpieces that I've been creating this year ...my wonderful friend Koni *sametimenxtyr gave me a similar bag last July, that her aunt had created... the original idea of this bag being to carry a small dog in... but, since I'm not a dog person... the bag that Koni gave me became my everything bag... and I absolutely loved carrying it!
Yes the sewing and photography are all mine!!
I actually made four of these cat bags in January of 2011,
and I carry one of them myself!!
Hope you like it!
NO POST-PROCESSING NEEDED!!
Yep! That's right! ...straight out of the camera!! ...except for the border, and my copyright I did NOT do any post processing to this image... now you know why I continue to absolutely Mexico Beach, Florida!
Soooooo... is this kick-ass, or what???!!!
We were worried that there wasn't gonna be a sunset tonight... due to the dark clouds to the west ...but, then they lifted just enough to expose the single little cute above the ...and we were clicking!!
and my sweet hubby Bob *MarquisDeAhhs helped me be able to get down on the sand tonight (rather than just parking on the seawall)... and it was a joy! Thanks sweetie!
We purchased "Mortimer" the Funky Flamingo from one of the other talented artists at our recent festival... and he's delighted to be at the beach ...and thinks he looks pretty debonaire modeling Bob's beach hat while it dries in the wind!
folks like us could never have an ordinary garden art flamingo ...so if you look closely, you'll see that Mortimer's body is made from a shovel and it's handle... his feathers are the bowls of spoons... his nose and "hat holder" are a metal shoe tree... his eyes are washers... his head dress is a combo of 5 whole spoons (3 straight, 2 bent)... his legs are reinforcing rod... and his feet are a combination of two horse shoes and two railroad spikes
After months of working like idiots we are finally on vacation ...and I'm working on a journal about my birthday, and our latest news ...so stand by for more!
but you may have to be patient... as it is at the beach and it is making me and the and an early nap is sure starting to sound like an awfully good idea!

Please note :
I have NOT requested a critique on this deviation... or any others in my gallery... and I certainly DO NOT want unsolicited critiques
I learn by trying new things and positive encouragement!!
If you love it it, and I'll know you loved it!
let me say thanks, in advance for every that you leave for me...
I'll also make every effort to get by your gallery in the near future, and return the favor. But please be patient with me, for I earn my living as an artisan, with my hands and eyes, and DA is my relax time... and sometimes that time must be short in order to keep the bills paid!
